Biosketch
Thomas Gilbert is a geriatrician in Lyon-sud university hospitals and also has an MSc in the field of health services research (Master II ERC, Pr. Colin, Lyon, France).
In 2016-2017, he spent a mobility year in Leicester (UK), under the mentorship of Professor Simon Conroy (Health Sciences Department, University of Leicester), where he took part in the development of a risk stratifying tool aimed at frail older people admitted to hospital as an emergency (the hospital frailty risk score), in close collaboration with Dr. Jenny Neuburger and the team of analysts at the Nuffield Trust, London (UK) (www.nuffieldtrust.org.uk).
