Biosketch
Corinne Dupont is a midwife and University Professor at the Training and Research Unit of the Faculty of Medicine and Maieutics of Lyon Sud.
After 12 years of clinical experience in type III maternity hospitals, Corinne Dupont oriented her professional career in the field of perinatal research.
Two axes have been developed:
- the analysis of the practice, its organization and the human factor in order to identify non-optimal care factors and propose areas for improvement;
- the implementation of multifaceted impact studies aimed at reducing maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality.
This activity is carried out in connection with coordination of a perinatal network, the AURORE network, which unites 27 maternity units (45,000 births per year). This mission of this network is to disseminate clinical practice recommendations and measure their application as well as to follow and to analyze indicators of quality and safety of care in order to improve professional practices.
